Camel Safari in the Thar Desert

Riding on a camel and spending the night in a tent in the desert has certainly been one of the highlights of my trip. The desert villages were so interesting and beautiful. Mud/cow dung huts painted white, pink, blue and women dressed in bold colours covering their faces with scarves to protect their eyes from the sand. I hooked up with a Toronto couple for the safari and we spent the evening enjoying live music by local performers - they even let me play their drum!!
