Cremations, Babas and lots of Temples

While visiting the big Hindu temple in Kathmandu, I saw my first cremation taking place along the river's edge. I wasn't sure how to process what I was seeing - it was very strange and surreal.
There were many babas dressed in orange robes at the temple as well - most of them had dreadlocks and were stoned out of their mind (part of their religion I was told).
Next we visited the town of Bhaktepur with it's ancient buildings,

cobblestone streets and narrow winding alleyways. Potters laid out
hundreds of pieces of pottery in the streets to dry in the sun. The day was finished with a visit to Patan Square where there were many more beautiful temples.
