Tiger Safari

Ranthambore National Park is the best place in India to spot a tiger. Although I went on 2 jungle safaris, I was not one of the lucky ones who had a successful spotting.

The odds are about "1 in 4" that you can see a tiger here. My Brit friends, Jo & Sarb hit the jackpot on their 4th attempt. They were lucky enough to view a gorgeous mamma tiger with her 3 little cubs for about 15 minutes on the trail just North of my 2nd safari. They were kind enough to show me their video footage that night. It gave me goosebumps to see the beautiful orange, white and black beast immerge out of the jungle - wow!

Although I was really sad and disappointed that I didn't have time to try for a 3rd attempt, I can atleast say that the park was really beautiful with red cliffs, palm trees, a huge fort on a towering cliff, temple ruins, green parakeets and wild peacocks everywhere.
